(DL57) THE HOORS - Fall off...

Rate: 7 Stars

The Hoors seem to consist only of two people playing all the instruments. Ell plays loud guitar and I can agree with that. Some funny song titles like Banned from Facebook, Dogshit sandwell and Hey Mr Librarian man. Musically then, it sounds like The Streets are playing punk in Crass style or something like that. It's slightly chaotic music a lot of times and a little hard to get a structure over what they're doing. Sometimes I think next to Splodgegenessabounds and it's probably the slightly crazy whims that make me think that way. 16 songs of punk and chaos is what we're treated to and you're almost a little tired in the head after listening to those songs but it's a fun experience. Risteard has a pretty raw voice a lot of times and the music can also be really raw at times. We even get a dub song, Song for Colin Riot, so we're treated to most things here. Hoors is a group that never ceases to surprise and maybe you should take them with a grain of salt and listened with a similar pinch of salt. It's a fun record, anyway. 7/12-2022
